OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY MATS

The physical demands of pediatric occupational therapy poses a unique threat to adult therapists across the profession. Adult therapists continually adapt their bodies to match the needs of children in their care, often resulting in postures low to the ground or unstable positioning. It is no surprise that many therapists struggle with long-term pain, reduced mobility, and workplace-related injuries on a regular basis.

This prototype was designed in partnership with the occupational therapists at Pediatric Therapy Center in Houston, TX. All patient identities have been obscured. Photographs of therapists and models were captured with appropriate consent.
